A team of experienced Education Recruitment specialists have set up a new supply agency to offer schools “something different” by giving back to the schools they work with.
Teachright, a joint venture with HR GO plc, the Kent-based national recruitment and business services group, promises a fresh approach to helping schools find their educational staff. They will use their expert understanding of the Kent teaching market to provide schools with the best local talent, as well as giving free educational solutions back to their schools.
Between them, Directors Sarah Mitchell, Luke Patsalou and Paul Cater have more than 20 years experience in educational recruitment. Paul is a qualified teacher and has taught in Secondary Schools for over 11 years and Luke is a qualified football coach.
Sarah, a Director with RHL, the Technical and Engineering Division of HR GO plc, was previously Managing Director for one of the UK’s largest Education Recruitment agencies. She said: “My absolute priority is delivering exceptional customer service to our schools, teachers and support staff. Their combined expertise and experience enables Teachright to do things differently from other educational recruiters.’
Paul added: “We feel there is sometimes a disconnection between a school and a recruiter at the end of a telephone line. We’re trying to be more authentic by visiting all our schools to really understand their challenges and culture and to work in partnership with them. We want to give something back, for example, free sports coaching for pupils and behaviour management training for their staff.
“We won’t send candidates to schools on the strength of a CV. We’ve found that isn’t the best way. We want to meet people, find out what they’re about, what they can give to education, and find the right fit for them. This usually leads to them being more successful and better for the young people.
“We want to build long-term partnerships with schools, demonstrating that we are the best agency for them to work with. We’re bringing something different to the educational recruitment market.”
Jack Parkinson, HR GO plc Executive Chairman, said: “We believe there is strong demand for high-quality service in education recruitment. These are challenging times for schools and Teachright’s experience in both teaching and recruitment gives them an edge when it comes to understanding the needs of schools and candidates. That they can bring other practical skills to their recruitment expertise should prove a bonus for candidates and clients.”
He added: “Teachright is the latest example of our joint venture strategy within the HR GO Group. This is an exciting time for us to be adding to our portfolio of businesses across the UK. If you have a strong background in Education Recruitment and feel that you’d like to be responsible for your own business, delivering exceptional service to the schools in your area, please get in touch with me.”
