An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients team as a Childrens Senior Residential Support Worker in one of our clients' registered Children's Homes in Stoke-on-Trent. This role offers a rewarding and dynamic career path.

If you are nearing completion or have completed your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and are eager to advance in your career, or if you are an experienced qualified Team Leader or Senior Support Worker seeking a new challenge, this could be the perfect role for you.

This role is for a Childrens Senior Residential Support Worker and it essential that you have full right to work in the UK, located in or near Stoke-on-Trent and a background in the Social Care sector

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the young people in our care.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to develop positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and professionals.
- Collaborate effectively as a team player to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes for the children.
- Encourage motivation in young people, supporting their participation in activities, education, and extracurricular pursuits.
- Lead staff teams with experience and ability to provide high-level care in a residential childcare setting.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in record-keeping, ensuring care plans and employee records are accurate and up to date.
- Adapt working practices in line with the home's ethos, showing resilience, motivation, and determination.
- Navigate challenging and changing situations with adaptability.
- Promote inclusively for all children and young people.

Qualifications and Requirements:


- Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Person's Workforce, or equivalent, preferably near completion.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the current legislation governing the sector.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal training and development.
- Flexibility to undertake shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or a willingness to learn.
- Eligibility for enhanced DBS disclosure, with overseas criminal records checks if applicable.
- Possession of a Full UK driving licence.
