CNC Miller - Setter / Operator / Programmer - Day Shift

Day Shift: Monday - Wednesday: 07:30 - 18:00 and Thursday: 07:30 - 17:00

Location: Clacton on Sea, Essex

Salary: Competitive, with overtime rates, plus excellent benefits

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join this long established and respected precision engineering company that serves the Marine, Automotive, Aerospace, Food and Medical sectors.

The ideal candidate will have completed a suitable engineering apprenticeship and possess knowledge of offline programming. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC mills to produce high-precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Tasks:

• Set and run CNC Mills per company quality standards.
• Operate additional machinery as needed.
• Inspect your own work.
• Update tooling sheets and record cycle times.
• Assist other operators to improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhere to Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Knowledge ISO & G Codes.
• Understanding tool and material capabilities.
• Ability to inspect your own work.
• Team player.
• Engineering apprenticeship (advantageous).
• Previous experience in a similar role.
