Job Title: Customs Clearance Clerk
Location: Dover
Job Type: Full Time/permanent
Hours of work: 4 week shift pattern (Days and only one Saturday and Sunday per month)

As Customs Clearance Clerk you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely clearance of goods through customs, while adhering to all regulations and requirements.

To be considered for this role you must have at least 6 months experience of the new CDS system - This is a essential requirement.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate customs clearance processes for import and export shipments
• Prepare and submit all necessary documentation to customs authorities
• Communicate with customs officials, shipping companies, and clients to ensure smooth clearance process
• Resolve any issues or delays in customs clearance
• Maintain accurate records of all customs documentation and transactions
• Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding customs clearance enquiries

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Customs Clearance Clerk
• Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Minimum of 6 months experience of the new CDS system
