Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Specification

Position: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Deeside

Hours: Double days Monday-Friday 6 am-2 pm / 2 pm - 10 pm (37.5 per week)

Salary: £17.30 per hour & 15% shift allowance

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to enhance their well-established team, the successful candidate will be required to complete planned maintenance, repair and breakdown duties on a variety of industrial machinery across mechanical and electrical disciplines as well as play an active role in projects and upgrades to the factory.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair all production machines in line with production priority

Work effectively in performing maintenance tasks to ensure the minimum downtime of production machinery.

Record all maintenance activity on the system.

Install new equipment as and when appropriate.

Perform other tasks to maintain the fabric of the building, fixtures and fittings, support equipment and install such things as barriers and racking as required.

Identify and source spares and necessary equipment to perform the above tasks Abide by site H&S policies and procedures, with special consideration for safe systems of work and practices.

Shut down equipment deemed to be in an unsafe condition, and repairs so safety issues are given priority.

Report any incident including near misses, unsafe working practices or situations immediately to the production supervisor or site manager.

Conduct/co-operate in safety audits, risk assessments and safety tours.

Only operate machinery for which you are competent to use.

Actively participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and/or practices.

Where you possess the relevant skills and knowledge or follow suitable training, be flexible enough to perform any other reasonable duties to support the business.

Skill & Qualification requirements:

ONC / HNC / NVQ level 3 Electrical Qualifications · 18th Edition

Experience with 3-phase equipment

Experience of inverter drives

Experience in World Class Manufacturing standards

Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
