Hygiene Operative

Location: Deal, Kent

Type: Temporary

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Shifts: Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri from 19:00 - 02:00

We are seeking a Hygiene Operative. The Hygiene Operative will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the production facility to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and guidelines, as well as experience in maintaining cleanliness in a production setting.

You will need your own transport due to the location and finishing times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring working areas are free from slips, trips, and fall hazards and that all Health & Safety requirements are met.

- Maintaining all housekeeping equipment in good working order and reporting any faults, while also maintaining an inventory of equipment.

- Stripping and cleaning operational lines to ensure optimal production efficiency.

- Decanting cleaning and sanitising chemicals as needed.

- Carrying out the log out and tag out process on equipment used to ensure safety protocols are followed.

- Responsible for maintaining hygiene standards in the main factory high care production and low care warehouse areas, including the seeding, harvesting, packing, and dispatch zones.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience in a similar hygiene operative role within a production environment.

- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and guidelines.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain cleanliness standards.

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Effective communication skills to report faults and maintain inventory.

- Flexibility to work in high care production areas and low care warehouse zones.
