We are looking for an experienced International FTL Planner to become a key part of our client's FTL team in Dover. This position will focus on managing transport schedules, coordinating logistics, and facilitating clear communication with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate vehicle schedules, ensuring efficiency, legal compliance, and alignment with customer requirements.
Manage daily operations, including collections and deliveries, while working towards profit and loss targets set by management.
Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, drivers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Perform administrative tasks accurately, making informed decisions within your area of responsibility.
Provide professional support across the business as needed, ensuring operational effectiveness.
Person Specification:
Knowledge/Expertise:
Experience in haulage or freight forwarding industry.
Experience in international planning and customs processes.
In-depth knowledge of fleet and driver management, scheduling, WTD regulations, and tachographs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong data management skills.
Solid understanding of health and safety practices and cross-border trade regulations.
Interpersonal Skills:
Highly organised and able to meet targets and deadlines.
Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with strong numerical skills.
Problem-solver who can take initiative and work independently.
Team player with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
