Position: Litigation Paralegal
Hours: Monday - Friday
Location: Chester
Salary: £NEG DOE
Our client is a well-established finance company based in Chester and is looking for an experienced Litigation paralegal to join the team.
- Responsible for managing caseload.
- Drafting Letters of Claims, pre-action applications and advice letters to customers.
- Drafting proceedings to obtain the return of goods order and money claims.
- Attend telephone hearings.
- To review incoming information/litigation correspondence and establish a possible claim route
- Ensure all information is scanned and uploaded to the case/customer management system promptly.
- Maintaining the case management system, making sure all work-flow steps are correctly inputted.
- Providing regular and accurate litigation reports to a wider business audience.
- Prepare claim documents and proceedings
- Deal with cases as they proceed via the court process
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines and directions
- Support experts by providing them with all the information they need, liaising with them to ensure they review cases as quickly as possible
- Re-engineering of processes to optimise efficiency's
- Be proactive and use initiative when presented with problems or issues
- Provide excellent customer service by regularly updating clients on the progress of their cases and answering any queries in a professional manner
Skills and Experience
- Experience in Financial Services or motor sector desirable
- Litigation experience (essential)
- Experience in managing own caseload
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Competent I.T Skills - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Strong communication skills
