We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee all aspects of production for a local Forages and Fibre manufactures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a mill process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in optimising production processes, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and leading a team of dedicated staff members.
Flexibility is required for this role due to work dependent on seasons.
Oversee the daily operations of the mill.
Promote and enforce safe working practices.
Train team members on specific machinery and processes.
Ensure quality control
Implement strategies to reduce waste.
Work to increase production output.
Collaborate with the Mill Manager to plan for the highest quality products, considering incoming materials.
Lead and manage 'Focus Projects'.
Support preventive maintenance tasks and assist in fixing breakdowns.
Work with the Mill Manager and Engineering Team to suggest and implement improvements in the mill.
Oversee the introduction of new equipment and projects.
