Paint Shop Supervisor Opportunity - Join an established aerospace parts paint shop as a Paint Shop Supervisor. This hands-on role oversees a team of wet paint sprayers, allocating work and ensuring all paperwork is correct.

As the Paint Shop Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction to the paint team, manage daily workloads, prepare and paint a variety of jobs, and ensure quality standards are consistently met. You will act as a vital link between your team and upper management to promote efficiency and quality in the paint shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise the Paint Sprayers within the paint shop.
  • Prepare and paint jobs following customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Issue daily instructions and maintain organisation of work schedules in collaboration with the Site Supervisor.
  • Complete daily paint logs and ensure all job packs are stamped and any discrepancies are addressed.
  • Manage paint quality processes and resolve any related queries.
  • Conduct routine paint stock checks, ensuring proper inventory management and adherence to FIFO (first in, first out) standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the paint department, including spray booths.
  • Act as the primary contact during audits and assist with paint-related activities.
  • Drive continuous improvements in quality and efficiency within the paint shop.

Qualifications & Prerequisites:

  • Proven experience in an Aerospace Paint Shop background.
  • Strong understanding of job pack data and specifications.
  • Experience in supporting aerospace-related audits and specification reviews.
  • Excellent team-building and communication skills within a paint shop environment.
