HRGO Doncaster are working with a long established shotblasting company, who are on the lookout for an experienced paint sprayer to join their term, based in Sheffield (S9)
- Ensure that the Company's Health & Safety, Fire, Environmental & Quality policies & procedures are complied with at all times.
- To comply with all relevant DSEAR, Risk & COSHH assessments.
- Ensure that the Company maintains an efficient level of service to its clients with due regard to quality and delivery.
- Ensure that all processing & handling equipment such as the FLT, overhead cranes & the Paint Spraying equipment is used in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure that all PPE & RPE is worn at all times & maintained.
- Report production issues to your immediate Supervisor(s), Manager(s) or Senior Management & assist in resolutions as required.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained daily to a good standard, inside & outside the works.
- Ensure any chain/straps etc. are hung on the racks provided when not in use & not left on the shop floor causing a trip hazard as well as removing any other hazards from the shop floor & outside the works.
Most importantly, ensure you are proficient and trained in carrying out any of the jobs you are asked to perform. Should you be unsure of anything at any time then "ASK BEFORE" you attempt the work requested. In addition to the Company, YOU are also responsible for your own (and other employee's) Health and Safety as you go about your daily work. Always remember this.
DUTIES
- Meet defined production standards, schedules & quality requirements. Ensure that all works are carried out in strict accordance with the job card & or relevant specification & procedures if applicable.
- Complete all records & documentation required in accordance with the quality system & each day submit your required 'Daily Work Record Sheet'. This is to be given to your Supervisor(s) to be authorised.
- Support & liaise with your Team members, Supervisor(s), Manager(s) & Senior Management to maintain the highest standards of:
- Health & Safety
- Housekeeping
- Maintenance
- Quality
- Operational efficiency to ensure all client delivery dates are met.
- Assist our customers & drivers with collections & deliveries.
- Loading & unloading of wagons & moving workpieces around the workplace using the FLT & Overhead Cranes (if trained) when necessary, ensuring awareness of pedestrian movement & safe storing.
- Assist in other areas of the works when required.
- Operate in an efficient manner.
- Attend any relevant training courses including on the job training.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Shop Floor Supervisor(s), Manager(s) or Senior Management.
MAIN DUTIES
- Receive work into the Paint Shop ensuring the correct documentation is available & specifies the work required with the paint identified.
- Prepare and mask components prior to spraying including the reading & understanding of drawings.
- Make sure all the materials are mixed & applied per the TDS & MSDS.
- Spray to the quality level specified for the job, without supervision utilising a range of equipment such as:
- Pneumatic airless
- Electric airless
- Air assisted airless
- Pressure pot
- Gravity gun
- Thermally Sprayed Aluminium (Flame Spray)
- Plural Component
- Hopper gun
- Brush & roller
- Quality check components throughout the process for defects & correct paint thickness in line with requirements & specification.
- Protect finished work to ensure it is not damaged before receipt by the customer.
- Ensure paint is stored correctly in the Paint Store on receipt & placed away after use in a sealed container.
- Identify that excess paint is clearly marked for recycling.
- Complete stock checks & stock taking as & when required.
- Carry out planned maintenance activities within the Paint Shop, paying particular care & attention to the paint machines & their cleanliness.
- Ensure all spraying equipment is thoroughly cleaned after each use. Including but not limited to:
- Flushed clean with thinners
- Filters removed & cleaned
- Tips blown out with thinners
- Guards & gins in thinners.
