Job Summary:
HRGO Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Human Resources Advisor to join a metal and waste handling company.
The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to our employees and management team in all areas of human resources, including recruitment and selection, performance management, , training and development, and policy implementation. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of employment and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with HR queries throughout the business.
- Reviewing and updating job descriptions / role profiles.
- Assisting managers with the selection, interview, and recruitment of new staff.
- Co-ordination the appointment and induction process for successful applicants, including the preparation of all necessary employment documentation and terms and conditions of employment.
- As necessary negotiate changes to terms and conditions of employment with staff.
- Providing HR advice to the Chairperson and other Directors for any necessary reviews change processes.
- Using the Company HR information system, Bright HR, as a system administrator to access, input and compile all necessary employee data.
- Identifying any development needs within the Bright HR system to ensure the best optimisation of the system.
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations regarding HR.
- Creating policies and procedures as required.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation.
- Provide support and advice to managers for all investigations, including grievance, capability, and disciplinary processes.
- Providing advice and support at hearings such as disciplinary and grievance.
- Provide guidance for performance management of employees as and when required.
- Reporting from Bright HR for the purpose of absence management and other reporting purposes as and when required.
- Acting as the point of contact for the hiring of agency and temporary employees as required across the business.
- Provide advice regarding training and development of employees and creating personal development plans.
Requirements:
- High organisational and administrative skills.
- Proven experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant or similar.
- Holds a formal HR qualification, such as CIPD, or working towards a formal HR qualification.
- Ability to advise and work with all levels of staff.
- Hands-on experience with IT and HR systems.
- Strong knowledge of current employment legislation.
- Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business.
- Practical and logical with the ability to solve problems quickly.
- Provide support and help to the Group Compliance Manager for all necessary employment data related to statutory reporting.
- Assist in creating a positive Environmental and Health and Safety culture.
