Location: Canterbury/Dover/Folkestone

Contract: Temp

Days: Monday - Friday & some weekends

Hours: 06:00 - 22:30 rota - 37 hours

Hourly Rate: £12.21

We are seeking a dedicate Plant Maintenance Technician to work in the Education sector to join our client's team in ensuring the plant machinery across the schools is kept in good working order and regularly serviced. Provide preventative & reactive maintenance of all schools within the trust. The ideal candidate will possess a range of skills and qualifications to effectively assist in maintaining the school's plant machinery to the highest standards.

This is a temp to perm position for the right candidate. A full UK driving licence is required to travel to different sites. An Enhanced DBS check will be necessary.

Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the inspection and carrying out inspections, maintenance repair of the school's plant and supportive services.

To support the Deputy Facilities Manager across the sites as required to ensure the facilities are well supported.

Assist with planned preventative maintenance, ad-hoc repairs and undertake works to the schools' plant & mechanical systems to a high standard.

Play an active role in compliance checks and ensuring adherence to safety regulations using the schools CAFM

Develop full knowledge of all emergency procedures.

Identifying, reporting and rectifying hazards

Supervise on-site contractors and provide access as and when required.

Assist with other departments as required including the cleaning team.

Requirements:

Proven experience of plant maintenance role

Skills in electrical installation/maintenance (Edition 18), plumbing and/or other recognisable trades

Full UK driving licence & own transport essential due to location

Enhanced DBS check

Experience of working with Computer Assisted Facilities Management Software (CAFM) - desired.

Proven experience in maintenance operations

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
