Join a family-run business as a Probate Representative, where you'll liaise with key organisations to locate, verify, and value estate assets for probate cases.

This is a part-time position, days are flexible, 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with banks, councils, solicitors, the police, and other institutions to locate assets and financial records.
  • Obtain valuations of properties, vehicles, investments, and other estate assets for probate purposes.
  • Request and review financial documents to build a clear picture of an estate's assets and liabilities.
  • Liaise with legal and financial professionals to ensure compliance with probate requirements.
  • Manage correspondence and maintain accurate records, ensuring all documentation is organised and up to date.
  • Coordinate with external services such as estate agents, valuers, and auction houses to arrange valuations and asset sales where necessary.
  • Ensure probate applications are submitted correctly and all legal obligations are met in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in probate, financial services, legal administration, or asset management is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with banks, councils, solicitors, and other professionals.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases efficiently.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to analyse financial information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.
