Job Title: Quality and Product Safety Coordinator
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £25k - £30k DOE
Hours: 8am to 4pm (Mon-Fri)

Are you passionate about ensuring product quality and safety? Our client is a well renowned packaging manufacturer and they are looking for a Quality and Product Safety Coordinator and play a key role in maintaining their Quality and Hygiene Management System!

Role Summary:
As a Quality and Product Safety Coordinator, you will support the QHSE Manager in ensuring compliance with quality and hygiene standards across our client's manufacturing operations. You'll work closely with the site management team daily, focusing on delivering products of exceptional quality and safety to our customers.

Key Responsibilities of Quality and Product Safety Coordinator:

  • Collaborate with certification bodies and coordinate site audits, ensuring compliance with standards and addressing non-conformance's.
  • Review and update policies and procedures with the QHSE Manager to enhance our quality management systems continuously.
  • Complete customer questionnaires and prepare technical specifications as needed.
  • Manage internal audit and self-inspection programs to maintain high quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Program.
  • Keep calibration records current and oversee the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
  • Conduct traceability exercises and manage product withdrawals as required.
  • Support the maintenance of our HACCP plan.
  • Conduct training programs and awareness briefings to promote quality practices.
  • Perform general quality assurance duties, including process checks, compiling certificates of analysis, archiving samples, and conducting laboratory tests.

  • The company's health and safety management system and statutory legislation
  • ISO 14001 certification and relevant environmental regulations
