Are you an experienced Registered Manager and passionate care professional looking for a rewarding leadership role?

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to join our clients team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in their care, based in Oswestry, Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities:


- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for young people.
- Develop positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and professionals.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes.
- Motivate and encourage young residents to engage in activities, education, and extracurricular pursuits.
- Lead staff teams with expertise and enthusiasm in a residential childcare setting.
- Display comprehensive knowledge of child development and an appreciation for the needs of children and young people.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation, keeping them up-to-date for managerial review.
- Adapt working practices to align with the home's ethos.
- Exhibit resilience, motivation, and determination in challenging situations.
- Foster an inclusive environment for all children and young people.
- Possess a Diploma Level 5 qualification

Essential Criteria:


- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential environment, including 2 years at a senior level.
- Familiarity with OFSTED inspections and capability to attend professional meetings effectively.
- Experience in preparing formal reports and contributing to the professional network.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current sector legislation and experience as a Registered Manager within a social care setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and residential children's homes standards.
- Commitment to personal development and pursuit of further qualifications.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins, and participation in the 'On-Call-Manager' rota.
- Proficiency in safe holding and physical intervention techniques.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
