Regulatory Food Officer
HRGO Recruitment are currently Recruiting for a Regulatory Food Officer for the Ashford Borough Council.
This is Part Time, Temporary Position for approx 7 months.
Hours:
15 hours, 2 days per week.
Pay:
£19.50ph
Summary of the role:
- Overseeing food safety compliance through inspections, service requests, sampling and delivering hygiene training
- To respond to food hygiene and safety requests for service and complaints.
- To respond to corporate health and safety enquires, questions and issues.
- To undertake safety inspections relevant to Council organised events and activities.
- To prepare reports for and attend relevant meetings with other services or outside bodies as required
- To attend court and give evidence in connection with the enforcement duties associated with the post.
- To undertake out-of-hours work as and when assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Must:
- Be EHORB/EHRB registered, hold a BSc. or MSc. in Environmental Health (or equivalent)
- Be experienced in undertaking food hygiene inspections in a range of businesses
- Confident with Members of the Public
- Have a valid Driving Licence and own vehicle
