Position: SAP Application Manager
Location: Wroclaw /Remote with travel as needed
Reports to: Director - ERP Technical Services

Position Summary

The SAP Application Manager will oversee the SAP ecosystem, focusing on S4HANA and related technologies to achieve complex business goals. This role involves architectural leadership, technical solution delivery, and collaboration with global stakeholders, including CoE teams, deployment groups, and AMS vendors. The position is pivotal in managing the SAP landscape, optimizing performance, supporting innovation, and driving the S4HANA rollout.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solutions & Delivery (80%)

  • Lead the design and implementation of SAP S4HANA systems, integrating tools like Fiori, PO, GTS, and HCI.
  • Architect and prototype scalable SAP solutions, ensuring high performance with tools like CDS views and AMDP.
  • Introduce mobile-enabled, user-friendly Fiori-first applications.
  • Establish governance and SOPs for SAP Technical Services and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage AMS partners to deliver SAP services efficiently using ITSM tools.

Strategic Leadership & Administration (20%)

  • Act as SME, guiding internal and external teams on SAP standards and practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, aligning strategies with organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to maintain system integrity and compliance.
  • Forecast future workforce skills and develop capabilities in SAP and IT architecture.

Supervisory Role

Manage cross-functional teams, providing mentorship and ensuring success in global deployments and operational support.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or Business (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 15+ years in SAP implementation/support, 5+ years managing SAP technical teams in large organizations.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • SAP S4HANA (On-Premise & Cloud), Fiori, ABAP, PO/CPI integrations, and SAP Commerce Cloud.
    • Proficiency in SAP tools like CDS, AMDP, Fiori Elements, and Cloud SDK.
    • Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and hybrid IT landscapes.
  • Certifications (Preferred): SAP S/4HANA, Cloud certifications, ITIL, Project Management.

Other Requirements

  • Proven leadership in global SAP deployments.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours for project needs.
