Scientific Communication Specialist - Content Writer (Chemistry/Laboratory)

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Scientific Content Writer with a strong background in chemistry and laboratory practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and accurate content, translating complex scientific concepts into accessible language for a diverse audience, specifically Scientists.
This role involves producing written materials such as white papers, blogs, landing pages, social media posts, email copy, webinar scripts, video scripts, brochures and more.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Research and generate high-quality scientific content in the field of chemistry and laboratory science.
  • Creating strong, engaging written content which appeals to a global audience. Adapting the style and tone to suit the channel with the aim of influencing the intended target.
  • Content creation including White Papers, Case Studies, Blog posts, Printed content, Digital content and more.
  • Technical Webinars & Video script writing.
  • Creating a long-term Content Plan which helps to achieve the objectives of the Business & Marketing Plan.
  • Assisting with the creation of sales training tools for both international distributors and internal technical training
  • Reviewing, editing and improving existing content.
  • Using knowledge of the industry for Lead Generation.

Research

  • Conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy of scientific information.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product managers, scientists, technical specialists and the marketing team to gather insights and ensure content accuracy.

Lab Experience:

  • Leverage a strong background in chemistry and laboratory practices to provide firsthand insights into experimental methodologies and results.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Chemistry or related subject ideally.
  • Excellent written and editing skills, with various writing styles and formats.
  • Proven experience in scientific content writing, with a focus on chemistry and laboratory sciences.
  • Confident in understanding and using scientific language and vocabulary.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific material to a high-level audience (specifically scientists).
