Job Description: Senior IT Technician

We are looking for a Senior IT Technician to join our Ashford based manufacturing client.
As a Senior IT Technician, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, systems, and applications that support manufacturing operations.
Duties include:
- Multi-site Active Directory Administration.
- VMWare & Veeam Maintenance & Monitoring.
- Office 365 Administration.
- SAN & NAS Administration.
- Level 2 & 3 switches.
- Router & Firewall Configuration & Maintenance.
- Administration & Maintenance of Multi-site Telephone System.
- Troubleshooting software and network issues when they arise.
- Liaising with 3rd parties when necessary.
- Network & Cyber Security.
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain business critical systems and IT assets, such as laptops, network equipment, servers, printers, mobile phones and enterprise applications.
- Manage the administration of all Business critical systems.
- Monitor and manage Business critical assets and system performance to ensure high-availability, data integrity and business continuity.
- Collate and maintain System Documentation.
- Provide on-premise and remote 1st and 2nd line IT Support for all users across the multiple business sites
- Review, manage, update and maintain the accuracy of IT assets and critical systems information within the business assets and systems registry database
- Work closely with the IT Manager to support and enhance the organisation
- Implement, monitor and manage the business access control and acceptable use policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage IT and network assets' end point security
- Implement, monitor and manage the business back-up and business continuity policies and controls.
Experience required:
- C#, ASP.Net or VB Net, SQL, Visual Studio, HTML, CSS, jQuery/JavaScript.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Work well under pressure and independently if required.
