We are recruiting a Supervising Social Worker on behalf of our client on a full time permanent basis located in Exeter.
We are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our clients dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a supportive organisation that values professional growth and the well-being of families and children.
This is a Hybrid role based in Exeter and you will cover Devon and into Somerset.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert supervision and support to foster families, ensuring high-quality care and stability for children placed in foster care.
Conduct regular supervisions with foster carers, offering advice, guidance, and support to address any challenges or concerns.
Monitor the progress and well-being of children placed with foster families, ensuring that all children receive the best possible care.
Complete comprehensive Form F assessments to evaluate potential foster families, ensuring suitability and readiness to provide care.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to deliver tailored support plans for foster families and children.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work undertaken, in line with organisational policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be a registered Social Worker with a recognised professional body.
Proven experience as a Supervising Social Worker and a background in dealing with foster families and an understanding of the foster care system.
Strong assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to complete Form F assessments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with best practices in social work and foster care.
