Week 2: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45, Friday 08:00 - 16:30

We are seeking a highly Apprentice Cable Harness technician to join the Cable Engineering department or our well-established client who is commitment to excellence & a leading manufacturer in based in Sandwich, Kent.

The main purpose of the role is to design and implement engineering solutions for Electronic Sub Systems, Cables and Harnesses and support the integration of customer's products with our clients' products and systems.

This includes working with the wider team on the introduction of new products as well as providing support for the manufacture of existing product lines.

Due to the nature of the work all candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance.

Duties & responsibilities:

Support the engineering team in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Manufacture

To work with the engineering and marketing teams to design, prototype, and document external cable and internal harness solutions.

To define, document and carry-out or manage verification procedures for new cables and harnesses.

Participate in the new product introduction process, including peer and stage reviews.

Write technical documentation including work instructions, notes, reports, specifications, and explanations as required.

Undertake as required, customer and supplier visits by car. As such a full current driving licence and a valid passport is required.

Qualifications:

Electronic Engineering qualifications desirable (NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent)

Skills & Experience:

Soldering experienced desirable (IPC training provided)

Cable and Harness manufacture experienced desirable (IPC training provided)

Effective communicator both written and orally.

Computer literate (MS Office packages).

Team focused with a positive 'can do' attitude.
