Temporary Ongoing Contract

You will be working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm on a temporary-ongoing basis.

As the Freight Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the collection of customer orders with freight agents and providing information to customers organising their own freight collection, maintaining accurate records and liaising with providers as required. Administration support provided to various functional areas to deliver the best possible customer service experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Timely handling of booking customer order collections with designated freight agents on web portals, according to agreed shipping arrangements
  • Providing information to customers to allow their own organisation of freight
  • Create accurate shipping documentation with correct shipping terms and dates
  • Monitor collections and deliveries and work with CS Team Leader to follow up any delays
  • Maintain accurate company records relating to shipping
  • Update freight portals with customer data as required
  • Assist with shipping enquiries from freight agents and customers
  • Promote the Company ethos of outstanding customer service

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working in Logistics
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems, especially customer service modules
  • Excellent communication skills across email, telephone and video conference
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships over telephone and/or email
